I was searching for new music when I stumbled across a band called Narrow Plains. They are an acoustic guitar-based three piece from London, who create chilled out ballads mixed with folksy rock. Now I am a massive fan of folksy rock so I fell in love with this band instantly.
Their song Take Me Back, has skiffle vibes scattered all over. The tempo is faster than some of their other tracks but it works well on this record. The folksy rock genre is something many new bands are trying out to catapult themselves to recognition and fame, some can pull it off and then there is those who just sound like a Mumford & Sons tribute. Narrow Plains are successfully the former, and their individuality is translated through their music perfectly.
I advise you to give Narrow Plains a listen as they are something different, and have a raw quality that will ensure their triumph.
