Weekly Playlist

This week I have revisited old favourite albums of mine and listened to new ones. I wasn't feeling particularly well earlier in the week either, so relied on one of my favourite bands The Smiths to cheer me up. Hope you enjoy!

The Lumineers - Dead Sea
I've been hyping about this band for a while now and the more I listen to their album, the better they get. I strongly urge you listen to this song (and the album) because this is a band who will change your life.
For fans of: Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, Of Monsters and Men, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes and Alabama Shakes.

Reverend And The Makers - Out of the Shadows
I saw this band at V Festival in August and they were incredible. They are really underrated too and are never played on mainstream radio. This song reminds me of my summer and so many great times. I remember when they played this and I was crushed to the barrier with thousands of people behind me, life really doesn't get much better than that.
For fans of: Arctic Monkeys, The Courteeners, Maximo Park, The View, The Enemy and Jamie T.

We Are Augustines - Book Of James
I heard this song on the radio and quite liked it. Before listening I had heard a fair amount about this band online and in magazines, but had not given them a listen. I'm glad I heard this on the radio otherwise I would be missing out on something good.
For fans of: The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club, Dog Is Dead, The Killers and Spector.

The Smiths - You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby
As I have said many times before I love The Smiths. They have a song for every mood and they are always relatable. This track comes from Louder Than Bombs and I definitely recommend it to you.
For fans of: Morrissey, The Cure, The Stone Roses, The Kinks, The Beatles and David Bowie.

Lucy Rose - Middle Of The Bed
This is another song I heard on the radio and fell in love with. I've liked Lucy Rose ever since I first heard her music but this song is brilliant. This year I've really gotten into folk music and Lucy Rose is another folksy singer who I have become a fan of.
For fans of: Ben Howard, Daughter, Dry The River, Alt-J and Little Comets.
