You probably haven't heard of 24-year-old Welsh singer Betsy yet, but I think the odds are pretty high that her mononymous name will soon be on the lips of many. 'Fair' introduced her as a promising and talented songstress, and 'Lost & Found' displays this further. Her powerful vocals coupled with an infectious and catchy melody that 'Fair' was somewhat lacking makes 'Lost & Found' an instantly enjoyable track.
Clearly influenced by artists of the past, which her Instagram full of adoring photos of icons of previous decades, Betsy comes across as the 80s version of Lana Del Rey, due to the combination of beautiful vocals, cinematic usage of strings, and a dance-like rhythm. No wonder big labels and producers (and Kanye West, the dictator and definer of style for many) have begun to show interest in Betsy, and no doubt many others will soon join in with the love for the songstress.
