Hailing from Illinois, Chicago - The Orwells are a young five-piece who describe themselves as sounding "real raunchy n shit". They also label themselves as "flower punk" which we whole-heartedly agree with. Following their recent appearance on Later... with Jools Holland, the psych/punk sucker-punch will release new single 'Dirty Sheets' on 13th January 2014. This also follow's the band's EPs 'Other Voices' and 'Who Needs You'.
'Dirty Sheets' is a sub-three minute track of pure filth. Trance-inducing riffs and outrageously catchy melodies ensure listeners' knowledge that The Orwells deal only in epics. If you're looking for a track that cranks up the frenzy, whilst sweeping you away into a dizzying whirl of riffs and beats; look no further than this impossibly moreish yet sleazy beauty.
