Holly Isobelle to launch debut single at The Prince Albert

Portsmouth native Holly Isobelle is set to launch her debut single 'Remains Of Our Love' at The Prince Albert in Brighton on Monday, April 10.

Now living in Brighton, the singer-songwriter generates uplifting pop by drawing influences from the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Simple Minds and Lucy Rose.

'Remains Of Our Love' is a shimmering indie cut with sunny melodies, striking vocals and fizzing synths featured throughout.

The young artist studies at BIMM Brighton, which is well known for producing many notable and emerging talents in the local area.

Speaking of the institution to the Brighton & Hove Independent, she says: "I have been doing acoustic shows for a good few years, and I came to Brighton in 2016 to study songwriting at BIMM.

"I am in my second year, and I have found that it has really helped me to create the sound that I have got now."

Isobelle also feels that she has benefited during her time so far at BIMM and now feels more confident when composing tunes.

"I have developed my songwriting 100%. I have learnt song structures, the mechanics of doing it, the way of putting songs together, the different ways of thinking about writing lyrics, the fact that there are so many options for different genres and different audiences."

Although, the musician has always had a firm grasp on what her music sounds like and how she defines herself in the industry.

"I would say that my sound is indie pop but with elements of the 80s, a little bit synth pop. It is very upbeat and fun to listen to.

"I wrote the single ['Remains Of Our Love'] when I was in a past relationship. It is about jealousy, when someone is looking at other people, when you see that person you are with is interested in others and yet you know that there are still the remains of the love in there.

"But the relationship didn't end badly. It just broke off when I came to Brighton."

Holly has also recently supported fellow emerging artists Jerry Williams and Youth Club.
