Real Fears bring blissful minimalism on debut single 'You'

A number of emerging artists, including MUNA, Sigrid and Say Lou Lou are really having their moment, London's Real Fears cite them as influences and are amongst those groups too with their ambient electro indie-pop sound.

The outfit's debut single, 'You', opens with softly sweet beats before progressing to swelling synths. The track sets the group's musical bar impressively high with touches of powerful indie-pop, a glossy chorus and blissful minimalism.

Speaking of the track, Real Fears say: "Having given this project some thought, we wanted to go for a sound that used a lot of space and depth.

"Lyrically the song is about opening up about your feelings and anxieties with someone close to you, admitting when you were wrong and feeling better about things.

"So whilst the song is upbeat in the chorus, it's about repairing a mistake in a relationship."

Take a listen to 'You' below.
