Middle Kids make no 'Mistake' on latest cut

Sydney three-piece Middle Kids have been working their way up over the last couple of years and couldn't be in a better position to unleash their debut album on the world. 'Lost Friends' is due for release on 4th May but until then the Australian trio have upped the anticipation even more with their latest cut 'Mistake'.

Expanding the blueprint laid down on their self-titled debut EP, 'Mistake' is an easy on the ears slice of alternative indie rock perfection that uplifts and soothes. Lead singer Hannah Joy's rousing vocals deliver a powerful chorus backed by a snappy beat and strong hooks throughout.

Speaking of the record, Hannah says: "In a time where division is growing, we want to be part of the conversation that unites people around certain ideals that are universal, like hope and love.

"That's so much a thread throughout this album: Even though things are tough, it's worth believing in something good and in the idea that we can heal. And in some ways, I wanted the music to be beautiful and a respite from what's going on."

If 'Mistake' is anything to go by, Middle Kids' debut album is one you should readily welcome with open arms the second it's released.
