Brighton five-piece, MarthaGunn are a band about to break the big time and their rapid rise has come as no surprise. The female-fronted band are brewing the perfect storm at the moment and have racked up numerous festival slots over the summer, with the latest being a set at Brighton's Together The People Festival.

The group are fresh from a performance at record label Communion's 10 Year Anniversary show and are building excitement with an announcement of a double A side 7" vinyl. 'Honest' and 'Honey, Let Me Know' will be released via Communion Music Singles Club next month

The latter track is reminiscent of Warpaint and Stevie Nicks and builds expansive vocal melodies with a memorable and slow-building intensity that will have you rushing to hit the repeat button again and again. This latest slice of pure gold is immaculate and proves that MarthaGunn are a band truly built for the big time.

'Heaven' is another gem and allows the outfit to sound both familiar and distinctive at the same time. There's a real feel-good fluidity to what they do and live sets will make you feel a bit weepy and moved - but in the best way.

MarthaGunn are a band that stand apart from the rest. They show sparks of imagination and originality with everything they do and always leave you wanting more, which completely works in their favour. A single listen to them will leave you hooked and it'll be the best decision you'll make today, trust us.
